1996 Geo Prizm has power steering, you can see the reservoir on the passenger side close to the windshield under the hood.

Check the belts first, the power steering pump rarely, if ever, fails in Prizm/Corolla. I have been experiencing belt problems myself on my 94 Prizm.

What is the exact complaint?
