I recently inherited a Prizm from a friend, and while under the car this weekend tinkering around, I noticed that the mounting studs on the top of the transmission housing, were broken off. It appears that the engine has a mount that attaches to the transmission (or vice versa) in three locations. Anyway, on one mount, only 1 bolt is threaded in, on another mount, no bolts are connected, and on a third mount, all are bolted in fine.
The car will drive ok, but I know it can't be good having 4 bolts handling what 9 normally would. What would be the recommended fix for this problem? The transmission shifts fine, it's just the housing itself that's broken.

Thanks!

Other that replace the trans, you could find a good trans. shop that could fabricate another support using other threaded holes in the trans.
