1994 Geo Prizm unknown broken valve

While replacing the starter, I broke a small valve which comes from the top of the intake. What is it and what will I need to remove it? Thanks!

Can you describe it and give its exact location. electrical connections, color?

It's a thin black valve that starts at the top center of the intake and goes to the charcoal canister. Where it broke it's a little thicker and blue inside. Thanks!
