1994 Geo Prizm No reverse in transmission

I got stuck in the snow at my house and tried to get my car unstuck by quickly going from reverse to drive. But then I realized that my reverse gear wasn't working. The car go's in drive fine but when I try reverse there is nothing. Neatral in the car almost acts like drive. I was wondering if there is a fix I can do myself to bring the reverse gear back???
