Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1994 Geo Metro Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Automatic 150000 miles

Gentlemen thanks for your assistance. My car is
a 1994 geo metro 3-cylinders.It is producing a cranking sound that I thought would indicate wheel
bearings. We checked both wheels and everything looked solid. We lifted the front and ran the car on drive,but it does not make that strong metally crank.
The shaft going into the transmission feels very solid,
no play.I ran it in reverse and it does not make the
sound. As I drove it home it sounded like the drivers side wheel was going to brake right off .
The transmission is shifting fine.Could you please help me with my mystery. thanks for your help and considiration.
