1992 Geo Metro Manual

I believe my alternator belt is rubbing on my timing cover. Is it ok to take it off and drive without it?

it would be risky, it wouldn't take much of a little rock to get in there and knock the belt off. if belt is rubbing then the pulley is probably warped and needs replaced on the alt.
