start in neutral

My car will only start in neutral it takes eight to tens times after parking. when restarting and putting into reverse it will still go forward. Someone has suggested it might be lacking oil?

Hey MEL6,

It sounds like you have a problem with the gear sector position switch, this is a common problem and will cause the problem you are describing. I would inspect the gear selector switch first and then go from there, let me know what you find.
