Gear shift does not engage transmission

The car had a flat tire. When I attempted to move the car the transmission would not engage. I could run through all the gears and nothing at all would happen.I appeared to be an electrical issue.

Hi,

Did this just happen when you got the flat? Also, does the resistance in the shifter feel normal or loose?

Do this: Open the hood and locate the shifter cable on the transmission (See pic 1) and have a helper shift through the gears. Confirm the cable is moving and is attached and moving the shift lever on the transmission.

Let me know what you find.
