I just purchased this van not even four hours ago and once I put it in park and tried to drive back off it wouldn’t go.

Gear shift is moving but the car is not

Hi,
The shifter on this vehicle is actuated by a cable. There is a chance it broke or is out of adjustment. When you shift, does it feel like there is resistance as normal?
Do this. Open the hood and locate the shift linkage on the transmission. Have a helper shift through the gears as you watch if it is moving. I attached a pic below that shows what the cable looks like where it mounts to the transmission. Do this and let me know what you find.
