Gear selection issues

When I select gear 1 it struggles to go in and when it does, the car goes into reverse gear. Resulting in me going in reverse when I lift off the clutch. How can I fix this?

we don't have that car in US so check with dealer there may be a service bulletin regarding the problem. or you have a bad cable or something broke holding cable.
