A water pump and an oil pump are two different parts.
A water pump pumps coolant throughout the motor to keep it cool. When this leaks it is usually never just the gasket, it will be the weep hole leaking due to a failing bearing. There is no oil at this part at all. It will only leak coolant. If there is oil at the water pump, then the oil is coming from another location.
The oil pump pumps oil throughout the engine lubricating all critical moving parts. There may or may not have a gasket. Some pumps are machine fit and some have
o-rings to attach to the block. That depends on the manufacturer. There is no coolant involved in this part as well. There is only oil.
If there is coolant there, it is coming from another location as well.
