Runs as if it is running out of gas?

Truck will be running fine. Then it will run as if it's running out of gas. So, I will add gas but then I can only put 3 gallons. Why is it running like it running out of gas after 3 gallons low from a full tank?

You probably have a fuel pump that is going out, also I would replace any lines that are dry or cranked which should take care of the problem. here is how to replace the fuel pump. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

My fuel pump is not more than a year old.

Okay, another thought is the exhaust system can be clogged up. I would remove the oxygen sensor and take it for a short drive to see if anything changes. Here is a guide that can help:
