accidentally connected my jumper cables to my battery the wrong way

Well if you are very lucky it is just a bunch of blown fuses and maybe the alternator. But in many cases this ruins the engine computer as well as the fuses and other electronics.

Start by checking every fuse in the under hood fuse box and the interior one as well. Expect to find a bunch blown. Pray that those are the only problem. Once you get the fuses checked and replaced, reconnect the battery and see what happens.
