Funny noise when accelerating

I do not know about the gurgling noise but the clattering noise is normal. A lot of the vehicles now are going to direct fuel injection. What that means instead of the fuel injector spraying gas at the intake manifold it now sprays it directly into the piston bore. That will cause the clattering noise.

On a side not I strongly recommend you use premium fuel on your vehicle. Cheap fuel will carbon up the intake valves and the pistons. Symptoms of carbon build up will be misfires and oil consumption's. If you do lots of stop and go driving or baby your car you should take it on long highway drives to burn off the carbon and use a fuel additive. The dealer additives work really well vs. the over the counter parts store additives.

Hope information helps but you should get a second opinion from another shop also to verify it is the injectors making that noise which is normal.

I have been trying to make an appointment for a mechanic, but I am not getting responses from any of the places I have contacted so far.

I will start using premium gas now too. It is rare I ever get on the highway, so I will make a note to take it out once a week.

I have also noticed, that the noise is not as loud when I turn the traction control off. Could this have something to do with it, or is it just coincidence?
