Funky little white fuse?

In the fuse panel inside the car there is a yellow thing that holds a 30amp fuse, then there is a funny looking white fuse, then there's a diode. Anyone know what the funky little fuse is and what it does and more importantly where I can get one of those?

Hi,

The 30-amp fuse is a power supply to two other 15-amp fuses, an audio 1 fuse, and a memory fuse. The white fuse you are holding should be a 15-amp fuse. Do me a favor. I attached a few pics below. The last one is the fuse box. Where did the white fuse come from? Is it where I have the arrow pointing?

As far as the diode, it prevents power from back feeding. It only allows power to go in one direction.

Update: went to Hyundai today to try and purchase a replacement one of these fuse/resistors/whatever the thing is only to be told they can no longer get it. It doesn't show up in their system at all. I was advised to go to the junkyard. Thanks Hyundai!

Wow. The manufacturer is only required to provide parts for ten years after production. But this seems like it should be something that remains available for much longer.

What name did they actually give the part?

They didn't. They just said they could no longer get it and that it didn't show up in their system at all. Never said what it was. From everything I have found it's a resistor. Other than that, who knows.

Hi,

Try to contact a parts store to see if they can help. Also, if there is a shop near you that specializes in auto electric repairs, contact them as well. I suspect there is an aftermarket replacement part. Otherwise, that part will prevent all of the vehicles that have one become useless.
