Fuel tank removal

If you have removed the straps, taken the fuel filler hose completely off, and taken the fuel return line off, there should be nothing holding it up. But if you just loosened the clamps on the filler hose and return line, you have to actually work them off of the tank before it will drop. The have been on there a long time and are sticking pretty well. Do not be afraid to put a little elbow grease into getting those hoses off (just do not squeeze them). Wiggle, twist, and pull on them until they come loose.

I think you might have to find a way to reach those "easy" connectors. I use quotes because any time they use "easy" in the name of something, it is not easy.

Thank you. Nope, I did not miss anything. Just those two connectors.I may have to make a special tool. It sure seems that the tank should drop about six inches with the lines connected.

Yeah this is when it is nice to have a friend with long skinny arms. At least we know that you are on the right track now. It is just a matter of fighting while maintaining your patience. Good luck and keep us posted.

Found leak. Somebody cut an access to the pump in the floorboard and and put a 8 inch cut in the tank..lol..some people. And it was just some wires holding the tank up. Idea of dropping tank to make connectors more accessible works. Thanks again for your time.
