No start and codes p0123, p0223, p1122 and p1131

I was given this car, in running condition but with a very bad valve cover gasket leak. Lots of fault codes but it ran. Replaced the valve cover gaskets, plugs, boots, cleaned everything up. Disconnecting all those plugs at the top of the engine scared me but they came apart okay, the contacts looked good, and I sprayed the contacts with electrical cleaner before re-connecting. Had to loosen the fuel injection tubing screws and move the tubing a bit to get the RH cover off.
Reassembled everything, it would not start. Had the air cleaner hose off at this point so I opened the throttle plate a crack and put in starting fluid. Started beautifully, ran for 2 seconds, made a clicking sound as it was stopping. Thought that might prime the system but no.

With the ignition on, there is no power at the fuel pump connector. Have checked all fuses so wondering if the relay may be bad. Had a fault code for fuel before I started and has one now. Also throttle position codes 0123, 0223, 1122. Also 1131 (but it had this before). Just saw your comment re the location of the fuel relay so will check that.

Hello,

This sounds like you have an open or some unwanted resistance in the fuel pump circuit. In the diagrams down below I have included the engine management wiring diagrams with the fuel pump circuit highlighted for you, as well as guides explaining how to find opens and unwanted resistance via the voltage drop method in automotive electrical circuits. You will need to use a Digital Multi-meter [DMM] to go through these guides, so here is a link below explaining how to use one, if needed, below:

Alex, I think there were two issues. One of these is that, when it would not start early on, I tried a lot of stuff and ultimately pulled all the fuses, checked, and replaced them. BUT either 16 or 18 must have been empty and I put the fuse for 17 in either location. So that was the simple last solution. When I put a fuse in 17 just now, it started.

But the other problem must have been some oxidation on a plug, probably at the pump or the fuel pump relay. By disconnecting and reconnecting multiple times this got sanded off and the circuit was re-established.

Your schematic was one key to this solution. My Haynes manual did not have this information. The other key was the note which identified where the fuel pump relay was located.
