Misfiring and shuts off intermittently while driving

I would suggest performing a fuel pressure test to rule out a weak or failing fuel pump not supplying adequate fuel pressure. If you don't have a tester most auto parts stores have a tool loaner program and can rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing how to perform this test:

The fuel pressure specification for you vehicle should be 39 PSI with key on-engine off. Get back to us after performing this and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Yes it was thank you. It reads good fuel pressure 37. Its a 3 mile trip one way to where i went. It ran great. On the way back it had a very slight miss only a couple times. Barely heard it. Wheres the fuel pressure check valve at man i can't find it nowhere. If you look on one of the pictures you can 1 thing mounted and on the other side there is a spot for another but the only thing there is the hose going to it. The little sensor in between my coil packs is spliced too. I hope you can help me out i need this vehicle. Thank you so much for your help.

There is no easy access schrader valve like older Ford's have. You will have to have either an adapter that bolts in place of the sensor, or an inline adapter that will attach between the fuel line and rail. A good scan tool will have the ability to view freeze frame data for the fuel sensor code, this will show what the pressure was when the code was set.

It's running good cold too. I took it out today and drove maybe 3 miles before it started missing. I took it to a mechanic and he said it's probably the idle control sensor. I would not like to buy anymore parts without knowing exactly what it is. I do have a tester for it. It's nothing special but it's not cheap either. Is there anything you can tell me about it? Also can i use it to measure pressure with it? I think i can i just don't know how to use it. Could it be the idle control sensor?

I didn't find an idle control sensor on your vehicle but maybe the mechanic you went to meant the idle air control valve. Your vehicle has one of those. Here is a tutorial show how to replace:
