Getting P0625 fault code. I have replaced the pump, filter, and relay. At first I suspected the aftermarket fuel pump so I ordered and installed a new OEM VW pump. Still having a hard time starting when cold.

Hard to start and getting P0627 fault code. I have replaced the pump, filter, and pump relay. At first I suspected the aftermarket fuel pump so I ordered and installed a new OEM VW pump. Still having a hard time starting especially when cold.

Check power to the pump, this can be an open circuit fault code.

It almost sounds like it could be the engine coolant temperature sensor. It could be off but not enough to trigger a code.

Here is its location (below)

I would try a new sensor to see what happens

Please let us know what you find.
