Good day, please could you assist on where to find the plug to drain and refill gearbox fluid? Currently on 250,000 km on the clock. Believe is why there is coming a humming noise from the engine bay when exceeding forty km/h. Thank you.

actually for humming noise remove belt and start engine see if noise is still there if not it is in the accessories. it will not hurt if you just run for a short time. transmission takes 75W/85W GL5 fluid. See picture for drain and fill.

Hi, thanks for the picture. As to the humming noise only happens when the car is moving and only start when speed exceeds forty km/h. and stops when the car gets warm.

then it is a drive-train which can be wheel bearings, or maybe transmission bearing.

Hi, thank you for getting back to me. We have found that the noise was from the gearbox, due to dirty gearbox oil all sticky that needs time to heat up before the noise go's away. After replacing it found the noise went away. On the other query i have, do you know the fuel line routing for the 97 hyundai Accent. want to know if the line runs in the middle of the car or along side the the under belly (passengers doors).

Good day, I have found a new problem that is toggling my brain. One of my pistons close to the coil pack has stopped firing completely. We have swopped wires and plugs. they do work. I have spark on the spark plug and is working. The compression is good. But not firing, we have confirmed by test that the coil pack is not the fault. There is n ticking sound on the injector. Is there a other way of checking if the injector is working or getting power. Please help. car is running high on petrol usage....

have a mechanic scan for codes and freeze frame with his scanner to check voltages of sensors. One may be the problem. you can check fuel pressure with a gauge and look for a vacuum leak like a broken hose etc. see link.
