Can I attach the electrical housing from the fuel pump to the ground wire from the fuel pump directly to the chassis?

The ground wire was on top, and the electrical housing was underneath it attached by a screw cannot get it to attached now.

If I understand you correctly you can. You mean you want to ground the fuel pump module to the frame, correct? If so, you should be okay.
