At first when I would drive it i could barely get it up to fifty five mph and when I would go up an incline it would loose all power and barely go up it. I changed fuel pump and fuel pump housing because the fuel gauge was not reading accurately. It seem to help it now i can get it up to sixty five to seventy mph with no problems, but it still looses power on inclines and fuel gauge is still not accurate. I did a pressure test and with key on engine off it is at 8 psi from what i read its suppose to be 35-40 psi and with engine idling its at 41 psi which is within normal. I do not want to spend $80.00 on a new regulator if it is not the problem.

Good morning.

it is a good possibility that your catalytic converters are clogged. I would have the back pressure checked. it is a test where you remove an O2 sensor and insert a gauge and run the engine. if there is back pressure above one to two lbs, they are clogged.

It does not have a catalytic converter.

okay, then I would start with a compression test. it will give us an idea to see if the timing chain has slacked off.

I also forgot to add that when I first start it up after it has sat for a little bit i have to let it run for about ten to fifteen minutes to warm up or it will not move. it will spit and sputter.

okay, that is good.

you have fuel pressure and compression.
check the spark from the coil to see if it is a good snap.

also, injectors are next stop to see if they are working.
