The hose that connects from the fuel neck filler to my gas tank needs to be replaced but I am having trouble getting the new hose on.

Hi,
Does the hose seem too short or something to that extent? have you been able to make a connection on either side of the rubber filler tube?
Also, make sure when you attach the hose to the filler neck that you align it correctly. See pic below.
