Does not accelerate while pressing the gas pedal after driving for a while

Do the RPMs raise but it just doesn't move? Almost like it is in neutral or does the engine not respond when pressing the pedal like it doesn't even know you are pressing it?

Also, let's check the codes and make sure we don't have anything there that would point us in the right direction.
