not getting power to the fuel pump

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections are good? Note the diagram, I can't go by what somebody else said, I'd have to do testing. See the fuse, upper right, check that fuse, also use test light on fuse circuit, hot all the time. See the fuel pump relay, has two sides, the switch side is right side in the diagram, the control side, left side in picture. You can pull relay, use test light between cavities 85 and 86, engine cranking if the test light lights up, you have voltage and ground good enough for the test light. Terminal 30 cavity at relay, hot all the time, note the fuse. At the bottom of diagram, see the M, that is fuel pump motor, the yellow wire is voltage, the green wire is ground, You use test light there, also.
Are there any applicable trouble codes, I saw several p0 codes related to your fuel system? To check codes, yourself, at the least you need an obd2 code reader that will work with your vehicle and read manufacturer specific codes as well as p0 codes.
I need to ask engine cranking, do you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse? I haven't checked about your security system?

The only code we got our selves was P0456 which had nothing to do with fuel system. It is a brand new battery and we've replaced the crank sensor, thinking in the beginning it was that. we have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse. Ford said it had nothing to do with the security system. My husband hot wired the fuel pump and the car started, so somehow the fuel pump is not getting power. we could not hear my old one kick on and we cannot hear the new one kick on. that is our problem I think.

Yeah, if you use jumper wires for voltage and ground to the pump, it should run. Did you check the relay like I asked?

Use a jumper wire at the fuel pump driver module and jump pins 1 to 5 and 4 to 8. If it runs, replace the fuel pump driver module.

Thanks guys for all your help....we took a chance a went and bought a fuel pump driver module for 82 bucks..plugged it in and car started right up. I appreciate all your help and answers!!

The 2006 does not have a driver module.
