Fuel injectors not sealing properly

Hello,

Fuel injectors should have nitrile rubber o-rings on top and bottom of the injector. When installing the injectors into the fuel rail and the intake manifold or head, wherever the bottom gets pushed into, you should lightly grease the o-rings and make sure that they go into where they are going snugly and solidly. Ensure they are pushed into their sockets all the way. Tighten the fuel rail fasteners to specs and you should have no problem with them leaking. I hope this helps.

Ok my xb needs injectors and i have some new injectors for at tc will the fit?

We only recommend direct fit parts. Chances are there is a difference between the ones in the car and the new ones you have.

I check online and they say the tc has more ccs will that matter?

yes, the computer in the vehicle won't compensate for the difference.

First let me confess, I made a mistake. I loosened the fuel injection rail by mistake, and fuel began to spray all over. I immediately tightened it, but I can't get it to seal. Every time I start the car it sprays a lot of gas in just seconds. Seems to be worse on the injector at the 1st cylinder, but might be spraying from others. Help!!!

You need to check every injectors O-ring/seals-might not be seated

Thanks for the reply. I'll pull the rail tomorrow when I have more light. I'll let you know how it goes. Can the o-rings be reused if they're not cut or do they need to be replaced if the seating of the o-ring is lost?

Best you replace it all-
