My gas gauge works kind of, it moves from full to empty but it is pointing down instead of up like normal.

Hello,
This sounds to me like the fuel level sending unit wires are grounding out to each other. I have included the Fuel Level Sending Unit Wiring Diagram in the diagrams down below. Please use this wiring diagram to locate and inspect the two wires going to the sending unit for grounding to each other and get back to us with what you are able to find out.
