Fuel evaporator hose and squirrels chewed the evaporator hose

They chewed the evaporator hose on top of the gas tank on my truck listed above.
Dealer says need new gas tank for $1,500.00.
Wondering if that is correct or can just the hose be replaced?

Hello, I'm Danny.

I find that hard to believe that they want to sell you a tank assembly! All fuel and emission lines are removable. I would contact your local parts stores first before you head to the more expensive Dodge dealer. Contact the Dodge dealer parts department as a last resort. I've attached a picture below of the hose diagram.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
