Difficulty putting fuel into the tank

I cannot get the vehicle to take in fuel. one to two dollars at a time. Auto mechanic took off filter, still cannot pump any gas into it?

The fuel tank breather or EVAP system is blocked. i would do a code retrieval first and see if there is a code set. start here and report back.
