Front wheels will not spin

Are you certain the pads are properly installed? Was this an issue prior to the pad replacement? If it wasn't, take a look through this link. It explains how the procedure is done. Confirm that none of the steps were missed and let me know your thoughts or questions.

Everything was installed properly, that's why I'm so confused.

Just to add my thoughts. I would suggest lifting the vehicle off the ground for all 4 wheels and put it in gear and see which specific tires are effected. If all the tires are affected then you have an issue with the master cylinder. If other combinations then it could be other things. Until we know which tires are not moving then we are not sure what the issue is.

Also, which wheels did you replace the brakes on? All four? Just front/rear?

I replaced all the brakes, but i figured out the problem. I have steel rims on and with the new pads, the caliper is flush against the rim. Currently looking for different rims. Thank you for your help.

That shouldn't have happened. Are they factory wheels?

Factory is 14x5.5, the rims on it are 14x6.

What doesn't make sense to me is are the wheels different then what was on there before you did the brakes? I understand the caliper will move a little bit with thicker pads but that is unexpected to have them now hit the wheels. However, if they are touching, clearly that can't be. Thanks for updating us.

I see. The offset most likely changed as well as rim width. That can create a problem. LOL
