I changed my rotors and brake pads, but the front wheel is making a grinding, screaming noise when I'm accelerating over 20-30 MPH.

Hi,

I listened to the video and couldn't hear anything. If it sounds like a metal-to-metal sound, check to make sure the dust cover behind the brake rotor wasn't bent and now touching the brake rotor. It is really easy to bend. Oftentimes, when removing the wheel, the weight of the tire/wheel drops, and it hits the dust cover and bends it. See pic 1

If that isn't the case, let me know if the sound changes when you press the brakes.

Take care,

Joe

I checked it out and it's not bent. Could it be wheel bearing? This noise was happening before I changed the rotors and brake pads. But it continues to make noise while accelerating and now it's making the noise while braking.

Hi,

Yes, it could be related to the wheel bearing. Is there any change when you make turns? Most times, a wheel bearing noise will change when turning.

Let me know.

Not when turning haven't heard anything. Only when the vehicle has been driven and has gotten warm, the grinding noise happens when accelerating. I have an appointment with the dealer might as well check it out.

Hi,

Chances are it is related to a wheel bearing. If you have a chance, could you let me know what the dealer indicates? I'm interested in knowing.

Let me know.

Made a discovery today. Was not the front wheels it's the back rear passenger wheel. Making a horrible grinding noise when I brake and go. I didn't do the rear rotors and brakes.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. As far as the rear brakes are concerned, did you notice any scratches or damage to the rotor face?

Here is a link you may find helpful:
