After about 20 to 40 miles, front wheel bearings are hot to the touch.... but still touchable. Measured temp on celsious scale at 45 degrees + centigrade.

Is this a normal operating temp, or should I replace wheel bearings soon?

Thanks much,

l wouldn't say that is to hot but if you can repack them do that as we don't have that car in U.S. when repacking look for bearing wear.

Thanks for your response. The Kia Pride was sold in the US by Ford as the Festiva from around 1989 to 1998, (I believe that is the correct timeline).

I actually owned a two door Festiva in the US in 1990 to 1993. It was a feisty little car, and my youngest son drove the heck out of it as a college student. Packed in his buddies and went on ski trips to Colorado (from Norman, Oklahoma)

well you are talking about a 1962 model not a 1990 so i'm not sure if those have repackable bearings but I wouldn't worry about it if it's not hot to touch

Ooooops..... I did a typographical error! My Kia is a 1992 model, not a 1962 model. So sorry, my bad.

Thanks so much for your insight and contribution.
