Turning right there is a loud noise from front left tire

When I turn van on a rattle noise begins as its sitting on park. While driving noise sounds like knocks. When turning right loud noise from front left tire sounds like it is scrapping something. When I bought used van I was told it needed shocks but I never got to it. Is the need of shocks the problem?

Hello, I am Danny-

It sounds like your left CV Axle is starting to fail. They are subject to wear and tear and need replacement after time due to it being your vehicles drive axle. I have attached a picture of what they look like and a tutorial showing how to remove and replace. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
