Can you get to the trunk from the back seat?

What is this? Seems like a clip of some sort. Just curious. I just recently bought this car. Also, I can't seem to get the trunk open. Key goes all the way in but doesn't turn. Can you get to the trunk from the back seat? Before I remove it?

Yep, you should be able to get in the trunk through the rear seat. Have you tried wd40 in the lock hole? Also try pushing down on the trunk lid while trying to turn the key.

Yep. Tried wd40 several times, got the key all the way in. Tried prying a little while turning key and the spare tire is mounted directly in the middle, so I can't stick a rod to manually unlock, and I can't crawl through the back.

Nope you are not getting through that rear seat. You may need to break the lock to get the trunk open. Use a standard screwdriver and hammer then wrench the screwdriver over. Or use a drill to get the lock out, it might be a little messy.

Yeah, seems like I may have to. Would a lock smith be able to get it open?
