On the freeway last night all the sudden the front end started to vibrate at sixty five mph. when I backed off it stopped the struts need to be replaced because when cutting wheels the clack clack is present. also, I bought two used tires for front Sunday because others threadbare I noticed when leaving shop, passenger side felt out of round. it drove smooth until last night. I was able to get freeway speed by slowly accelerating. should I focus on tire rotation putting fronts in back rear tires are in real good shape. due to fixed income and unforeseen expenses this month I need to fix this myself which is why I came to the very best. You two have always helped me money or not in a timely fashion straight help, no BS. you are the very best on the web or anywhere. thanking you in advance.

Hello, Lou here, if the problem did not occur until the tire replacement then the first thing I would check is make sure the lug nuts are tight, just to be certain. next I would rotate to the rear to see if the issue persists, that would give me without a doubt a reason to suspect the used tires. either a belt slipped or a wheel weight came loose , hope this helps, Lou.

Also Lou when I rotated tires and regulating air pressure I noticed a slight imperfection on the rim edge could that be causing bouncing?

Not really, I am thinking it will be a problem with the front CV axles, here is a guide to help you replace the parts. Also check the lower ball joints.

Please let me know what happens so it will help others.

In my opinion it depends on how big the imperfection is , if the rim is bent enough the tire will actually conform to the bend and wear more in that area and cause a wobble that can be felt when driving very slowly through a flat parking lot , you can feel the car shimmy side to side . But at least you know the issue is due to the tires. I would get a new set as soon as you can as you can have a slipped belt as well .
