Out of the blue my car stared making a clicking sound from what seems to be the right tire area . It is noticeable when making right turns and just started. It is not loud and had not heard it at all until I left my house for the second time. Checked the wheels no weird thing hanging out or rocks. It is almost like a card in a bicycle spoke.

Your CV joint (axle joint) is worn out and slipping a little bit. This is very common on front wheel drive Japanese cars, in my experience. You will need to replace the axle on that side. The other side will likely start doing the same thing soon, so either go ahead and do it or be prepared for it when it is time. If you get brave and want to do it yourself, here is a YouTube video that I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkeWmzYJBDs

I had a hinkling that was it but every GUY lol that I encountered told me bearings, alternator and struts. So my next question would be...is it expensive and what would the chances of a first timer bring successful at the DIY replacement

2 hours labor plus parts, probably $300. As far as whether or not you can do it, I can't seem to find a youtube video to guide you perfectly. There is one for 1995-1999 Sentras, which are basically the same car mechanically. Honestly, if you've not done mechanical work before, this isn't the job to start learning on.
