There is a noise coming from the front driveshaft area. There is some play in the front differential output to shaft. I want to remove the front driveshaft and use my vehicle while the parts are coming in. Is there anything I need to do after the driveshaft has been removed or can I just drive it in two wheel drive or will it leak oil out the front?

Hello, I am Danny.

You can remove the driveshaft and just drive in two wheel drive. The flange that mounts the driveshaft to the differential actually provides a seal so nothing will leak. Same goes for the transfer case. I have attached a tutorial showing how to remove. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
