I was wondering how to remove the front bumper reinforcement bar which is bent. I am looking to replace it but can't remove it. I see no screws or bolts or nothing it looks like it is welded onto the car. Please help!

Hey BCB.JAHHH,

You are correct it is welded on.

You would have to drill out the welds and then weld on a new bumper impact bar.

I can provide you with the instructions if this is a job you are looking to undertake?

It is a part of the strengthening of the front of the vehicle so probably best carried out by a body shop.

Hey BCB.JAHHH,

No problem below are the instructions to replace the front bumper impact bar.

Let me know if you need anything else, it sounds like you already have the bumper removed? I can get you instructions for bumper removal also if you need.

Do you have any instructions on how I could get the impact bar off of my vehicle instead of going to a repair shop?

Hey bcb.jahhh,

I did send you through the instructions in reply to your other message.

I can resend them here if that is better.

The impact bar is spot welded on, you will need to locate these spot welds and then drill to remove them.

You can get specialized drill bits designed for removing spot welds whilst keeping as much metal as possible.

Hope this helps.
