Here are videos to help you make your own line or replace the brake flex hose.

The process is the same in most cases. It's probably one of the metal brake lines where it crosses over to the other wheel damaged or rusted out. You have to replace the whole section of line back to the nearest joint. DO NOT use any compression fittings.

My 1994 Ranger is leaking brake fluid from the driver side rear wheel. I just replaced the master cylinder (my bad diagnosis) and after I did so was when this first occurred. Previously the truck had been parked for several months and I'd decided to drive it only to discover it had no brakes. At that time I checked the brake fluid level, found it to be normal and decided I needed a master cylinder.

I've never had to work on the rear brakes of a vehicle. These are drum brakes and when I looked, the hose that goes into the drum seems very loose, but not in a way that would suggest I could tighten it. Fluid is literally puddling up around the tire. What's gone wrong (most likely)?

Souds like it blew the wheel cylinder, you will need to replace both sides as well as the shoes, Brake linings that are contaminated with oils or brake fluid will lock up the wheel..Get some brakekleen to aid in the cleaning!
