The front AC/heater is not blowing any air on any setting. The rear unit is working fine. The dash controls have power but nothing is happening when I turn it on.

Hello,

It sounds like the blower motor or the blower motor relay or fuse has gone out but to be sure here are two guides to help walk us through the testing and the relay with fuse locations in the diagrams below as well.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/blower-fan-motor-works-on-high-speed-only

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

First thing to do is check the fuses, the f32 and f57 both in the battery junction box. Plus f15 and f37 in the smart junction box. Then if all fuses okay, try swapping in or a new blower relay.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

I looked at a similar case you posted on the front ac not working or working intermittently. I have a similar situation. I checked all fuses and they are ok. I changed the relays and the problem is still present. How can I check if there is power to the front blower motor? Do you have a wiring diagram and a picture of the connector location for the front blower?

Thanks Roland

Recently, the front ac will stop working...stop blowing/no air flow from ac vents or even defroster vents, etc but the rear continues and is good. When it works, air is cold, runs perfect, blows as should. But it may just randomly stop after working during that drive. Other times, when first getting in car, it may not work, then later drive, work when you get in. The rear still works, irregardless. Please help as we are on vacation with too many kids and we will be pulling our camper back when we return home. Is it the vaccum hose, blower, ???? Thank you.

I am assuming this is manual a/c where you don't set temp. try pulling fuses15 and 37 with key on it may reset the actuators it kind of sounds like your air inlet actuator is the problem. keep fuses out for 60 seconds. then reinstall. If not it wil have to be scanned for codes. If it's auto temp control this won't work and needs to be scanned for codes regardless the fuses are in smart junction box

It is a manual ac. The blow fan can not be heard In the front ac when it quits, but again, the rear still works fine during this. But when it chooses to work, yes, you can hear the blow fan. We pushed around on some wires around the blower fan and so far, it has not quit....but that may change momentarily. And we checked the fuse and pulled them.

When it doesn't work have you tried smacking the blower motor with your hand to see if it starts working? Also do you have a multi meter to do some testing?

check for a vacuum leak first it may be on your control head or the vacuum motor (item 1 in pic) then if vacuum motor works ok check to see if door is opening (item2) either one may not be. If a leak start from engine and work your way back to control etc.

look under the hood for a power distribution box. it'll have other fuses and relays in there. make sure all your relays and fuses are good, if the problem still exists, then you need to chase the wires from the switch on back. look for broken or pinched wires, loose connections, including loose grounds. hope this helps
