I have a '71 Ford F-100.
It was converted to dura spark electronic ingnition around 10 years ago.
It has run without any problems until around 6 months ago.
Sometimes it won't start and sometimes it will.
When it starts it kicks on the first try and runs strong.
When it won't start, it has no spark.
I have changed out everything from the plugs to the wires, coil, solenoid, control box, cap, rotor, wire harness and the only thing left is the pickup in the distributor.
I know I have to get the toothed wheel off to get the pickup assembly out.
How is the rolled pin to be rmoved?
Can this be done with the distributor left in the engine?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.[/i]
