I have a 3.8 liter V6 engine with 92,000 plus miles on it broke 2 belts in three weeks. while installing the 3rd belt i noticed the tensioner was not as tight or not as resistant as the previous times. After installing the 3rd belt , as I started car , i noticed the belt slipping off the tensioner.I would like to know if it is just one (1) bolt holding the tensioner to the engine block, & also what size is the bolt? is it an 18mm bolt/ about how long in time does this repair take? :) make of vehicle is a 1996 Ford windstar

1 bolt holds tensioner on and should take 1/2 hour or less to change. Those tensioners have a problem with the rubber inside allowing the pulley to get out of line.
