We have a 2002 Ford Windstar SE. It has roughly 80,000 miles on it and is a 4 cyl I believe.
We changed the spark plugs a few days ago and now the car is idleing very erratically. It will be normal then dip really low, then surge. Also the air conditioning is only blowing out of the defrost now no matter where the knob is turned to. Also now today, it is very noisy when cranking the wheel, and it almost sounds whiny and like you can hear wind blowing through the engine. We went to checker auto parts andd got an error code which was PO171 or PO174, i am not positive which. Could this have been caused by the spark plugs being changed? And what could the problem be and can we fix it ourselves.
