Front torsion bar

1998 Ford Windstar, 340,000 km. 3.0 litre v 6 motor.
The front torsion bar is broke on the passenger side. Can I replace this myself or do I need to get a mechanic to do this. I am an industrial mechanic and have plenty of tools, But if you think for safety reasons I should farm this out let me know.

I have a 1995 windstar. I have about a 1" bar that broke off just outside the frame that connects on each side to what I think are sway bar links. Sway bar, torsion bar, are they the same thing.
Did you replace yours and where did you get it from if so.
