Noises problem
1998 Ford Windstar Front Wheel Drive Automatic 145000 miles

When I start the car after it has sat awhile, there is a really loud ticking noise. As I drive it eventually goes away. Timing belt? Water pump? Cords? I just replaced, heater cord, radiator hose, head gasket, water pump hose, belt tensioner, etc. Man, what else?

If it is a ticking, chances are it is a lifter collapsing. After running for some time, it pumps back up and the noise will go away.
