1998 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

just did an engine change and i pulled what i thought was a distritutor out, How do I put it back and timed right ?

No distributer it is has EFI, My guess is maybe you pulled out the camshaft synchronizer. Post a pic of what you pulled out.
