1996 Ford Truck Possible Fuel in injectors?

DRIVEABILITY - REDUCED POWER - NO START - 7.3L D.I. TURBO - IDM MODULE - NO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
A "no-start" or "reduced power" condition may occur intermittently on some vehicles. This may be caused by a short in the injector circuits or the IDM module.
Follow the diagnostics listed in the Diagnostic Guide and refer to the following Service Procedure.

1.If, after completion of all the steps in the Power Stroke 7.3L (DI Turbo) Diesel Diagnostic Guide, you are unable to pinpoint the cause of the concern, proceed with the following steps. 2.Disconnect the IDM Module connector and using a DVOM, measure the resistance between the injector circuits to ground. If it is less than 5 ohms resistance, repair the short in the circuit and retest. 3.If the concern still exists, replace the IDM module.
There is also one for the injector cusion seals. this can cause all kinds of problems and is only detected by removing and inspecting them. A new design seal kit is available. If any one needs replacing, all must be changed.

I will look into the pressure once I can get my hands on a tester. BTW, it started running today after cranking it with ether(I know its bad for the truck, I just used a little and no glow plugs). It idled for an hour then died when I tried to drive it. I got it running again later. Now it seems to drive fine but it lopes at a light. There is a component on the fuel bowl that is dripping fuel slowly now. The parts guys cannot identify it. It looks like a oil pressure sensor and has a red wire with a stripe on it. The wire connects like a tiny spark plug. It's right next to the shrader valve mentioned in the testing procedure. What is this?

No problem.. I'm new to this forum sry. The wire is red with yellow stripe. The red with green stripe comes off the solenoid switch. This wire goes to the ? device on the drivers side.

Looks like the sender for the wait to start light on the dash.
I will need the series of your truck as well, 150? 250? 350? Super duty?

OK, it's an f-350. But this device is right on the side of the filter bowl. It has fuel flowing through it. As I said earlier, it's leaking fuel out the side. How could this have anything to do with the glow plug circuit? I seems like some sort of pressure switch, regulator, cutoff ect.

It's a typical sending unit(pressure sensor type) turns on warning lamps. If it leaks, replace it.

Thank you. So this leaking will not effect the non starting situation? I managed to get it running for a few miles and noticed this sensor was leaking. It drove around a few miles with only one stutter. I started it the next morning and it idoled fine for several minutes. Then, I pulled out of the driveway and it died. It would not start with or without either. It sputtered a little with a quick burst of ether but nothing else. I drained the fuel bowl into a cup and found no water. The fuel smells funny though. The last fuel I got was extremely clear and odorless. I'm starting to think something is wrong with my fuel.

They have test strips at the parts store that detect water, but your oil is important too, if it's low, dirty or foaming, truck will have problems starting.
