Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Ford Truck Two Wheel Drive Manual
My 96 PowerStroke 7.3 started sputtering today like there was water in the fuel. It idled fine but as soon as I hit the gas in gear it would sputter and sometimes quit and need a restart. Oil level is good, new fuel filter.(It did this a two weeks ago, killed a fairly new fuel filter) So I forced it 1/2 mile slowly to the parts store. I topped the oil off, added Iso heet to both tanks, it continued to cut out for a minute then died. Now it just turns over like it did 6 months ago when the oil filter came loose and It had no oil pressure to fire the injectors. It won't try to fire at all. It has plenty of oil this time. Did I get too much water in my injectors? If so, how do I purge the injectors/clean everything out?
