T-bird 2002, v-8, 35000mi

Heater: As you know, the heater setting moves degree by degree up to 85, then the next increase available is all the way to 90. At 85 degrees or less, it blows only unwarmed air. Actually, for a couple of minutes, sometimes, it will blow warmed air. However, if I go all the way to 90, it blows warm air just fine. Can you help me understand my problem and how I need to proceed. Please note I did make a donation already.

Ok I do see the donation, Thank you for that!
Now turn the ignition key to on, then at the same time press the floor and off buttons on the heater, then quickly press auto, if a number comes up in the display, post it for me, and I will tell you the problem...25 is the one I suspect.

When I did as you said, first came zero on the left side and 25 on the right, then it proceeded through 1 and 24 (left and right), then 2 and 23, then 3 and 22, etc., and ended with 25 on the left and zero on the right.

Ok from here just to eliminate the heater core, warm the engine, then feel the two heater hoses going into the firewall, they BOTH should be real hot! So be careful, if one is cool or cold, the heater core is clogged and will need flushing, or replacing. If the hoses test OK, 25 comes up as the blend door actuator. It's an electrical motor that psitions the door as you move your thermostat, Do you hear any clicking under the dash when you adjust the thermostat?
