1997 Ford Thunderbird 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Why does my coolant fan keep running after the engine has been shut off and cooled down for more then two days?

The fan relay is sticking closed the relay is powered at all times when the switch side is sticking closed it will constantly power the cooling fan w/o the key
