I just recently got a 1997 Ford Thunderbird. When i got it, it was running rough RPM odometer was fluctuating and irractic. I took it to Auto Zone and had the computer checked and it was the sensor. I replaced the sensor then it became worse, so i checked the syncronizer and it was bent so i replaced that. I put the piston top dead center and it still ran rough, so i changed the position of the sycronizer and it got even worse then after a while it wouldn't start like there was a short or something. I replaced most of the pigtails to the cam sensor and the air compressor still nothing. Now it wont even turn over when it does it will die once it gets hot and it will run like its miss firing or something but i smell gas like it's running rich or soemthing. I adjusted the sycronizer back to its original spot with it top dead center still nothing. checked the all the spark plug wires for the resistance amount i got 6.34 on a 21in wire. The car still wont turn over it will crank like it wants to but no go. I don't know what it could be. Maybe the TPS or the Ignition Control Module not really sure any advice would be appreciated.

OK lets begin with the basics. Does it have spark? If it has spark is it getting fuel? Get back to me and we will go from there.
